I've had two tickets
One in Marathon, FL. I was caught by a FHP officer at a speed limit decrease (think it was 45-35 mph) on the 7-mile bridge. I was just past the 35 mph sign when she hit me with the radar. 10 MPH over speed limit. Gurrrr!
The second was on 58 in Brunswick County, VA. Was rolling about 7 over the posted speed limit, but my speedometer was off another 5 mph in the car. Nice officer wrote me a ticket for less than 10 mph over. I bought a Garmin GPS afterwards, so I would know my actual speed. This was one of my older cars, and I would have to change the gears in my speedometer to adjust it. I would have to find the gears first, then swap them out. Not easy for an antique automobile.
